What is Smart Load Shedding
Smart Load Shedding is an innovative and sustainable practice that lets you intelligently reduce your electricity consumption. With the aim of easing the strain on the electrical grid during peak periods, smart load shedding involves shifting the use of your electrical appliances away from peak consumption times.
Recognised as an authorised smart load shedding operator by the RTE (Réseau de Transport Électrique, or ‘Electricity Transmission Network’), Survoltage is an app that rewards you for electrical curtailment.
And what could be more fitting than using Legrand smart solutions for these load shedding activities? By connecting them to the Survoltage app, you can automatically take part in the suggested curtailment activities.

With no cost and no commitment, this initiative lets users of compatible, smart Netatmo and Legrand devices earn up to 200 euros a year by helping us stabilise the electrical grid. When you pair your devices with the Survoltage app, the app will automatically carry out load shedding, intelligently reducing electricity use at peak times without affecting your experience. You have complete control over your devices at all times and earn EWATT points which you convert into euros twice a year in April and December.

To date, the following are compatible:
→ Céliane with Netatmo smart cable outlet (radiators with pilot wire, radiators without pilot wire, water heaters, kitchen appliances, cable outlets).
→ Drivia with Netatmo smart switch (water heater, heating, electric vehicle charging point)
→ Mobile Control with Netatmo Plug (lighting, rolling shutters, heating, camera, etc.)
→ Netatmo Smart Thermostat
→ Smart AC Controller
→ Smart Radiator Valve
How do I take advantage of the Survoltage offer?
To take advantage of the Survoltage offer, follow these quick and easy steps:
1. Download the Survoltage app, available for free on the App Store and the Play Store.
2. Create an account and register your app, pairing your Linky meter to your account.
3. Subscribe to the Freedom offer. The offer is free and requires no commitment - you can participate in load shedding at any point.
4. Pair your smart devices. If you use compatible smart Netatmo devices and with Netatmo devices, you can easily connect them using your H+C log in details.
5. Collect your earnings. You'll be paid twice a year, at the end of April and the end of December.

You can find a range of smart devices compatible with the Survoltage app in a number of places:
1. In the Netatmo shop
You can but the following products directly from the online Netatmo shop:

Do I need a gateway if I already own devices from the Céliane with Netatmo range?
No, if you already own Céliane with Netatmo devices, you already have a gateway. So there's no need to buy a new one, as a single gateway lets you connect several products.

How do I configure my ‘with Netatmo’ devices on Survoltage?
Once the Legrand smart devices have been configured on H+C, it takes less than 2 minutes to connect them to Survoltage.

What if I don't take part in all the load shedding?
Load shedding is a voluntary action and you're not forced to participate. You have control over your products at all times. If you don't want to participate in load shedding, you don't have to. However, this also means you won't make the same savings and earn the same amount.
