Simply detect an odourless and invisible hazard.

Your Alarm continuously measures carbon monoxide levels, an odourless gas that can be deadly. It warns you in real-time if the risk threshold is crossed. It alerts those present with its 85-decibel alarm and simultaneously warns you on your smartphone so that you can immediately warn your family and the emergency services.

Enjoy 10 years of peace of mind.

The Carbon Monoxide Alarm comes with a battery that lasts 10 years*, which is the maximum lifespan of any CO detector. That means you don’t need to change any batteries because when you receive a low-battery alert, you’ll know it’s time to replace your Alarm.

*Life span for typical use. The battery’s life span may vary based on the use of the Smart Carbon Monoxide Alarm. For further information, please go to https://netatmo.com/usage/nco

The Alarm performs its own diagnostic checks

FAQ

What is carbon monoxide and where does it come from?

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless, tasteless, and potentially deadly toxic gas. It comes from the incomplete combustion of fuels such as wood, butane, coal, petrol, oil, natural gas, petroleum and propane. It prevents the blood's ability to transport oxygen. For your safety, it is recommended to install carbon monoxide detectors to measure carbon monoxide levels.

What are the effects of exposure to carbon monoxide?

It depends on the level of exposure to carbon monoxide:
- 100 ppm = Mild exposure. Mild headaches, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, flu-like symptoms.
- 200 ppm = Medium exposure. Throbbing headaches, drowsiness, confusion, rapid heart rate.
- 400 ppm = High exposure. Dizziness, nausea, visual impairment, muscular weakness. Risk of death after 3 hours of exposure.
- 800 ppm = Extreme exposure. Convulsions, loss of consciousness, brain damage, heart and lung failure followed by death. Risk of death after 2 hours of exposure.

How many Netatmo Smart Carbon Monoxide Alarms can I install in the app?

There are no installation limits on your account. However, to ensure the best experience when using the Home + Security app, we recommend you install a maximum of 10 Netatmo Smart Carbon Monoxide Alarms on your customer account.* *This limit may be lower depending on the other Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) products on your account.

Can the battery be changed after 10 years?

The Smart Carbon Monoxide Alarm is a battery-powered device. The battery is built in. It was designed to cover the entire lifespan of the detector. For safety reasons and to guarantee maximum efficiency, all carbon monoxide detectors must be replaced after 10 years because the carbon monoxide detection sensor wears out over time.
A few weeks before the battery runs out, the product's fault LED will start to flash orange every minute and the alarm will beep twice every minute. Your detector will also send a low-battery alert to your smartphone.
