Netatmo and Somfy announce compatibility between their Smart Thermostat, Radiator Valves, and the TaHoma Smart Hub
Netatmo today announces the integration of the Intelligent Weather Station and its accessories into the Home + Control application. Deployment is underway and should be available to all users on 30 July 2024.
The Home + Control app, launched in 2018 as part of the partnership between Legrand and Netatmo, enables users to remotely control a wide ecosystem of products (lighting, opening devices, electrical appliances, heating, air conditioning, energy management modules, etc.).
In addition to the Group's brands (Legrand, Netatmo, Bticino), partner brands (Somfy, Bubendorff, Aldès, etc.) are also part of the Home + Control ecosystem. As far as Netatmo is concerned, until now only products in the Comfort category could be installed and controlled from this application. Users of Netatmo Intelligent Thermostats, Netatmo Intelligent Thermostatic Heads and Netatmo Intelligent Air Conditioner Control can control and view information about their product from the Home + Control application.
What's new in July 2024 is that the Netatmo Intelligent Weather Station and all its accessories can now also be accessed from the Home + Control application.
The first product launched by Netatmo in 2012, the Intelligent Weather Station accurately measures outdoor and indoor data such as temperature, humidity, precipitation, noise pollution levels and air quality (CO2).
With the hyper-local data recorded, Netatmo has the largest network of Weather Stations in the world, observing the environment in over 175 countries, available on the Netatmo Weathermap.
Accessories complete the Netatmo Intelligent Weather Station: Intelligent Rain Gauge, Intelligent Anemometer, Additional Indoor Module. They give users access to precise local data about their environment, enabling them to adapt their activities and uses accordingly.
All these products are available in Netatmo's Weather application. It enables users to monitor changes in their environment at any time, via historical data, and obtain personalised recommendations for each individual.
In addition to the Weather application, it is now possible to install an Intelligent Weather Station and its accessories in the Home + Control application. Users will be able to access all the data from their Weather products, as well as the weather forecast.
Existing Weather Station users can simply connect to the Home + Control app to take advantage of the data collected in real time by their product and its accessories (Rain Gauge, Anemometer, Additional Indoor Module). They'll also benefit from a room-by-room view, detailed local weather forecasts in an exclusive, redesigned format and a 24-hour history.
To benefit from an advanced experience (notifications, widgets, more than 24-hour history, etc.), these same users will be able to continue using the native Netatmo Weather app, which will continue to operate in parallel.
New owners of a Netatmo Weather Station from 30 July 2024 will be able to choose between the two applications to install their product and all its accessories.
Weather information will also be available to all current users of the Home + Control application, including those who do not own a Netatmo Station. A weather icon will be displayed on their home screen with basic information (weather, temperature). To access more information, users will need to install a Netatmo Smart Weather Station.
This update reflects the desire of the Legrand group and Netatmo to strengthen their ecosystem around a single universe, and completes an already rich experience in Home + Control.
Netatmo products are updated regularly, free of charge and automatically. This means that users can benefit from new features even if they've owned their product for several years.
